LAZARUS ISLAND REVISITED 23rd Dec 2006
(where have all the Hard and Soft Corals gone?)
Most prominent were the absence of numerous soft corals and hard corals that were common during the last trip in 2003. Spoon Seagrass and Sickle Seagrass were found on the western rocky shore. Floating fish farms have become a feature between Lazarus and St John's Island. Onchidiums and Lightning Dove Snails were widespread on the rocky surfaces. It was a surprise to find only a solitary Peacock Anemone, a solitary Fiddler Crab and a solitary Carpet Anemone.
